Employment

As a Data Scientist at LabCorp Integrated Oncology, my focus has broadened to include analytical and strategic product development aspects. Additionally, I have taken on a several subject matter expert roles; training staff in biostatistical best practices and helping guide research teams in the design and interpretation of complex oncological studies. My ongoing work focuses on Labcorp's current plasma product (PGDx elio™ plasma focus) and the continuation of integrating data science into the evolution of precision medicine.

In my role as a Bioinformatics Data Analyst at Personal Genome Diagnostics (PGDx), I specialized in providing analytical support for the feasibility, early development, and validation of FDA-approved tissue and plasma products. My responsibilities included planning and executing targeted biostatistical analyses to evaluate various characteristics of Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) products, such as sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy. With emphasis on compliance with FDA 510(k) and CLIA guidelines, I effectively collaborated with a multi-disciplinary team, to create validated reports and analyses.

During my tenure as an Associate Scientist at MilliporeSigma, BioReliance, I honed my laboratory skills in a highly-regulated environment, adhering to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) standards. Specializing in microbial testing, I successfully executed a 28-day mycoplasma detection assay, a crucial procedure for ensuring the quality and safety of biological products. My work involved handling biohazardous materials, requiring stringent safety measures in a BSL 2 laboratory.
